2015 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spatlese

Made with a bit of botrytis, the 2015 Wehlen Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese opens with an intense and piquant fruit aroma of lime and grapefruit flavors along with some herbal/grassy and nutty aromas. Light but very lush and fruity, with racy, crystalline acidity and a firm phenolic grip, this is a still extremely young and stringent Spätlese with a nicely salty finish. However, this 2015 should be cellared for at least a decade to become really interesting.
