Note di degustazione
Tight nose with more than a little sulphidic bite. Lovely sweetness on the palate with lime, apple and orange peel. That absolutely typical Riesling acid shines through. Fairly simple just now, but with all the ingredients for longevity. (RH)

Electric acidity and tons of wet-stone minerality make this concentrated wine a star in this vintage of Mosel Spätlese. Succulent mid-palate, then a brilliant, driving finish that could wake the dead.
The nose of the Treppchen Spätlese is not trying to dazzle with exuberance, but rather to entice with an intricacy of fruity and spicy nuances. Once again, very lively and sherbety on the palate with a fair amount of residual carbon dioxide, but this is well employed to emphasise the animating quality of Mosel Spätlese. Pear, peach and orange provide a sweet opening, but fruit is not having it all its own way, as delicate touches of nutmeg and salty minerality emerge. (MS)
