Note di degustazione
Previously called "Leeu Passant Dry Red Wine" and now called “The Leeu Passant,” the 2020 The Leeu Passant is composed of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Cabernet Franc and 14% Cinsault. The nose is dark-fruited with red florals, soft pyrazines and balanced with oak essences. Medium to full-bodied, this red blend offers energetic acidity with succulent tannins and a delicate mineral tension before flavors of just-ripe, dark red and black fruit essences sway across the food-friendly finish. It's fantastic, just give it time. After spending a year in 500-liter French oak barrels, 30% new, the wine was blended and left to rest in larger foudre for an additional eight months before bottling.

The 2020 Leeu Passant is a blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cinsault that is matured for 11 months in 500-liter French oak barrels, one-third new, and then 2,000-liter foudres . It has a pure bouquet with raspberry, bergamot, crushed strawberry, warm brick and light pencil shaving aromas. The medium-bodied palate has finer tannins than the first vintages, gentle grip, delineated and poised with red plum and bergamot notes and a very harmonious, slightly peppery finish that lingers alluringly in the mouth. Superb.
