Molitor's 2022 Pinot Blanc Wehlener Klosterberg * is deep, intense and refined at the same time and intermingles ripe and elegant fruit aromas with substantial mineral notes and discreet sur lie and spicy/oaky nuances that come as a notion rather than a flavor. Full-bodied, quite rich and sweet on the palate, this is a very charming and playful Pinot Blanc with a substantial mineral grip and persistent salinity on the long and complex finish. Still a little too sweet for my personal taste, yet this should be an excellent Pinot Blanc with more bottle age. Natural cork. Tasted in September 2024.
