2021 Marienburg Riesling Rothenpfad Grosses Gewachs

From 1.8 hectares with partly 80+-year-old vines, the 2021 Marienburg GG Rothenpfad is clear, darker-toned and flinty on the fresh and herbal nose, with ripe and intense, red-skinned fruit aromas and notes of broken slate. Lush and round on the palate, this is a mouth-filling, intense and juicy as well as saline Riesling with fine grip. Tasted as a sample at the domaine in July 2022.
