2021 Marienburg Riesling Raffes GG

The 2021 Riesling Marienburg Raffes Grosse Lage is a special parcel within the site of Falkenlay, in the upper reaches where over 80-year-old vines root in blue slate. The nose remains restrained, and the palate is immensely salty and concentrated. The feeling is of slate, salt and smashed lemon - pith, pulp, juice and all. Immense smokiness and intensity seemingly get stronger and stronger and incredibly concentrated, yet without a trace of fat. Very stony, very long. (Off-dry)
