2017 Forster Riesling Freundstuck GG

The 2017 Freundstück "GG" is clear, deep, fresh and pure on the complex and elegant nose, with classic sandstone and coolish (lemon) fruit aromas. Silky and salty on the palate, with enormous mineral and phenolic tension, this is a lush and slightly creamy, very elegant, perfectly balanced and persistently salty, vital and tensioned Freundstück with grip and tension and good length. Fine tannins and lingering salinity. Tasted in Deidesheim in December 2019.
