At the time of my visit to the domaine , Jean-Marie Fourrier tells me that he is undecided on whether there will be a Cuvée Centenaire this year. This is because he is currently trialing part of the blend in amphora and the performance of this will determine whether this cuvée will be bottled separately as a Cuvée Centenaire or otherwise, blended back to create a single Clos Saint-Jacques.

Domaine Fourrier is located in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin. The estate has been run by Jean-Marie Fourrier since 1994, and has rapidly become one of the village’s most fashionable names, known for producing pure and transparent Pinot Noir.
