Note di degustazione
The most refined and noble of the 2016 GGs from here. Though far from being the most full-bodied, this dry riesling is just beginning to show its best. The diamond brightness at the finish must be tasted to be believed. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

From tank (this being the one Bürklin-Wolf cru not raised in cask, as Libelli wasn’t keen to employ any he had available of such small volume), this delivers all of the musky, decadent floral perfume that I associate with the aromatics of this great site. The inner-mouth effect is quite stunning, and seductively complemented by a silken feel and rich, piquantly pit-inflected white peach. The herbal and floral concentration here approaches Chartreuse-like intensity, an impression reinforced by glycerol-richness but with stony underpinnings serving as a foil for the wine’s opulence. The finish is sedate when compared with that of other wines in the present collection, but its sheer persistence is prodigious.
