Note di degustazione
Marked by scents of cocoa, cinnamon, black cherries and ripe plums, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard is another of the micro-production wines being turned out by Vice Versa (282 cases, in this instance). All Cabernet Sauvignon aged in 90% new French oak, this full-bodied effort is plush and silky in feel, the lingering finish framed by softly dusty tannins.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard is similarly incredibly expressive, offering more red and black fruits as well as notes of gravelly earth, flowers, chocolate, and some obvious minerality. Las Piedras always tends to produce a slightly more elegant, finesse-driven wine compared to the more powerful Dr. Crane releases, and you certainly see that here. It’s full-bodied, pure, seamless, and just perfectly balanced. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that spent 18 months in 90% new French oak, this is a thrill a second and should keep for 20-25 years.
