Punteggio 86/100 · Da bere 2018-2024, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Aug 2019

At the risk of replaying a familiar record, the 2013 Moulin-à-Vent Champ de Cour offers up an oak-inflected bouquet that nods to the Côte d'Or, followed by a firm palate built around hard tannin and tangy acid, concluding with considerable asperity for a wine from so fine a terroir and with such aspirations to quality. It left me unconvinced.

Punteggio 88/100 · Da bere 2016-2024, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Jun 2015

The 2013 Moulin-à-Vent Champ de Cour was cropped at just 18 hectoliters per hectare from October 2 and was aged in 20% new oak. It has a focused, pure bouquet with red currant and wild strawberry scents, a touch of undergrowth developing with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied, with supple tannin and well-judged acidity. There is a tingle of pepper at the tip of the tongue with an easy-drinking, mellow finish.

Single parcel. More clay, lower down the slope than the Croix des Verillats and more sheltered from the wind. Much more red fruited in aroma. Riper but still with those fine dry tannins. Elegant and long in a really serious style. (JH)
