2018 Altenberg de Bergheim

The golden-colored 2018 Grand Cru Altenberg offers a deep, intense and mineral as well as aromatic bouquet of stewed peaches and mirabelles. On the palate, this is a very rich but also sweet and tannic Altenberg that reveals fine grapefruit bitters but doesn't sing like the 2019. It is very rich, tight and tannic but less elegant and refined or stimulating. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in May 2022.
