This medium-bodied, delicious wine should be sought out by readers looking for a good buy in an unheralded vintage. The wine exhibits a deep ruby color, followed by a forward, precocious, smoky, sweet, jammy, cherry-scented nose, spicy, round flavors with good length and purity, and a sense of balance and elegance. The finish is all silk. Drink it over the next 5 years.
