1999 Nuits St Georges Les Damodes

Bright dark ruby. Pretty aromas of black raspberry, blackberry and violet. Juicy but very tightly wrapped; very sweet and concentrated but almost too powerful today. The CO2 currently hides the wine sweetness. Finishes with firm oak tannins, strong acidity and a flavor of dark chocolate. This will require several years of bottle aging to harmonize.
