Good full red. Wild, reduced nose offers black raspberry, smoky minerality, pepper and oak spices, plus a leesy nuance. Even tighter in the middle than the Mazy, with a flavor of crystallized blackberry perked up on the end by peppermint and licorice notes. Strong wood tannins give the finish a slight dry edge today and will require at least six or seven years of aging. There was just a barrel and a half of this juice, one new, noted Roty; his other two grand crus aged in 90% new oak.

A ripe, pure and highly perfumed nose of extract of plum and black raspberry trimmed in discreet wood is followed by rich, full-bodied and palate staining flavors that possess excellent volume on the well-delineated and lightly mineral-inflected finish that exudes energy and punch. There is plenty of personality and this very suave and velvety effort should be terrific in time.
Deep red with ruby highlights. Initially reduced nose cleared to reveal crushed raspberry, dried flowers, spice and sweet oak. Wonderfully sweet, lush and rich for this cuvee at this early stage; impressive breadth here but with no heaviness. Finishes very long, with sexy, broad, dusty tannins that melt into the wine's fruit. I would not be surprised to see the finished wine rate a score at the high end of my range.
