Punteggio 17.5/20 · Da bere 2025-2034, Tamlyn Currin, jancisrobinson.com, Mar 2025

Full bottle 1,345 g. 60% Grenache, 40% Syrah. Aged 10 to 12 months in second-use oak barrels. After the strange sweetness of Argali, the freshness and integrity of the Prestige is a relief. Ripe fruit framed by savoury, firm, fine-grained tannins. Plum, wild raspberry, pepper and vineyard thyme. A little bit of dustiness in the spaces. Playing its cards of deep, rich fruit and spicy structure with poise. This is seriously classy and a fantastic reflection of Languedoc. (TC)

Punteggio 17.5/20 · Da bere 2024-2029, Tamlyn Currin, jancisrobinson.com, Apr 2024

Full bottle 1,352 g.  This smells so good, so Languedoc, so compelling. It's pooling, plashy, sumptuous crimson fruit with mountain-stream mossy, ferny freshness. Far fresher than I ever remember this wine being – it really pulses with purity. Masses of fruit. Saturated with the juice of red cherries and raspberries, a fine balsamic underline, a handful of fine-ground clove and nutmeg. Tannins that feel like cashmere woven with tea leaves. Peppery finish, alive with energy.  GV (TC)

Leading off the reds, the 2021 Languedoc Prestige is 60% Syrah, 30% Grenache, and the rest Carignan, all aged a year in barrel. It has an up-front, fruit-driven perfume of mulberries, black raspberries, peppery herbs, and spicy, sandalwood, floral nuances. With medium-bodied richness, a lively, elegant mouthfeel, and both ripe tannins and nicely integrated acidity, this charming, impeccably made Languedoc will put a smile on your face any time over the coming 4-5 years, if not longer. It shows the more challenging nature of the vintage, but this is rock solid and well worth drinking.

A fruity, juicy, velvety and charming red with notes of cherries, raspberries, cassis and olives. Medium body, fine tannins and a straightforward development on the palate. Fruity and agreeable. Drink now.
