The 2023 Riesling Mineral trocken comes from Monzingen, including the Niederberg's blue slate and quartzite. Lightness and citric verve are clear from the first sniff of stony, lemony brightness. The light palate has an inner zestiness with much grapefruit and tangerine alongside just a little pith. This is a serious and taut wine; it is super-slender but, oh, so zesty. This is an exquisite wine of a real Nahe character that punches above its weight. (Dry)

Mineral indeed! Sleek and stony with a real undertow. Lots to enjoy here, so long as you don’t taste it alongside wines further up the tree. (JR)
