80% new French oak for 20 months. So good that I should probably stop tasting for the day. Smells like crushed gravel and dried river bed surrounded by blackberry brambles baking in warm sun. Fleshy and dense on the palate with cedar spice and firm tannin. Fresh and incredibly long with a tingling trail of clove spice and orange zest. Needs time. (SCJ)
