Medium to full-bodied and nicely balanced, with well-integrated oak and a ripe, textured style, this beautiful wine will benefit from short-term cellaring.

The 2022 Saint-Joseph Clos de Cuminaille displays leafy tones alongside black plum and a flicker of cedar. Forward and smooth, it hits the medium-bodied palate with solid flavor concentration and checks out with moderate length on the uplifting finish.
A serious, well-built and focused syrah. The nose expresses notes of dark berries, wild herbs, undergrowth, leather and warm spices. It’s medium-bodied with fine, firm tannins. The center palate is juicy, with a silky core of berries coated by the fine tannins and onto a more compact, driven and robust finish at this stage. Try after 2025.
100% destemmed. 18 months in fine-grained oak barrels (Allier and Nevers, 40% new). Cask sample. Tasted blind. Plenty of dark fruits on the nose, cherry and cassis. So much perfume and floral character on the palate, as well as a rich fruit-cake note. Dense and full and rounded mouthfeel – probably for the short term. (AC)
