Note di degustazione
The intensely yellow-colored 2022 Nieder-Flörsheim Frauenberg GG is from pure, calcareous soils and opens with a deep and chalky, lemony bouquet with notes of crushed stones, blueberry bushes. Round and refined on the palate, with fine, silky tannins and a smooth, chalky texture, this is a fabulous Frauenberg whose finish is still astringent and not singing but the potential is superb. It's a generous and substantial wine that should be drunk years from now. It will be released in spring of next year. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in July 2023.

AP number 54 23. Light sherbety nose. Polished tannins and restrained fruit. This particular wine is not quite as dramatic as stablemates from Kühling-Gillot. Just slightly loose rather than tense. (JR)
Delicate, shy aromas of chamomile and meadow flowers, crisp stone fruit, smoky accents. Smells of apple and rosemary. Beautifully structured and pitch-perfect harmony. Lithe, creamy and complex. Starts quiet then builds like a symphony on the palate: first the power of the drums set the rhythm and outlines, then come the horns with concentration, and finally the violins sing with herbal lift and acidity. And with such a steady build, the power of the music is nearly invisible until it is upon you in its perfectly harmonized whole. (PS)
