Creamy/buttery aroma strikes first, especially in contrast with the Cloudy Bay just tasted. Much crisper on the palate but still in a traditional mode of fruit sweetness balanced by crisp acidity, no playing around with reduction here, it seems. The finish is impressively dry, fine-boned and long. (JH)

The 2015 Bannockburn Riesling has a reticent nose at this youthful stage with subtle notes of lemon juice, fresh limes, honeysuckle and orange blossom with a touch of chalk dust. Medium-dry with tight-knit honeyed citrus flavors and wonderful freshness, it finishes with mineral nuances.
