2019 Morey St Denis Les Crais Gillon

0.5-ha plot east of the village. Vines more than 60 years old, very small bunches. Barrel sample. Very rich and sweet with quite a bit of tannin on the end. Harrumph sort of wine! It’s going to hit you between the eyebrows but is fairly far from quintessential burgundian purity. Sweet. Hot finish. (JR)
