Note di degustazione
Pale red. Pungent aromas and flavors of red cherry, minerals and flowers. Juicy and urgent, showing lovely precision and cut. These very ripe vines were picked on the first day of the harvest, noted Eric Rousseau. Finishes with good gripping tannins. Rousseau's village wine is far more concentrated than it was just five or six years ago.

The 2012 Gevrey-Chambertin is soft, silky and delicate on the palate. Sweet red berries, mint and floral notes meld together nicely in the glass. Today the 2012 is solid, if not quite the overachiever it can be.
Always the first to be picked because it's at the bottom of the slope. Lots of sweet fruit at first and very gentle. These wines are like a warm embrace with a lick of strawberry jam. Eric Rousseau doesn't expect this to firm up that much because the tannins aren’t at all marked. Lovely stuff. (JR)
