2021 Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Auslese (3 Star) WK

Vinified in a 600-liter clay amphora, the 2021 Riesling Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Auslese *** (White Capsule / AP 92) is beautifully pure and clear on the fascinating nose that shows very fine slate and fruit aromas and is more developed than the regular ZSU without being more matured. It's already singing on the nose! On the palate, this is a full-bodied, dense and lush yet most of all refined and elegant Sonnenuhr with a savory and mouth-watering saline, long, intense and subtly powerful finish that doesn't show muscles but fine bones and an ocean of salt. It's very long yet still a bit sweet. 11% stated alcohol. Off-dry style. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine from AP 92 22 in May 2023.
