The 2015 Syrah is fabulous. Rich, deep and expansive on the palate, the 2015 is in its sweet spot today. Blackberry, gravel, incense, new leather and tobacco are generous in the glass. All of the richness of the year comes through, and yet the 2015 retains superb balance. Interestingly, the Syrah is the most vibrant of the 2015s at Ovid. It's a truly special wine in every way.

Another standout, the 2015 Syrah is simply gorgeous. Silky, perfumed and exceptionally vivid, the 2015 is exquisite today. Naturally, the 2015 is very young and unevolved. Time in bottle will help varietal aromas and flavors emerge more fully. Overall, the style of the 2015 favors delicacy and finesse over the more bombastic style that was in vogue during the estate's early days.
