Darker berries, lavender, peppered game, and some bacon fat all emerge from the 2014 Syrah, a fully mature, concentrated, beautifully textured Syrah. It's picked up plenty of maturity but still has another 5-10 years of prime drinking.

The 2014 Syrah is another stellar wine from Ovid. Rich and ample, the 2014 possesses notable textural depth and resonance. Inky dark fruit, chocolate, leather, licorice and incense take shape in this opulent, plush Pritchard Hill Syrah. New oak was about 50%, but this shows more sweetness and torrefaction than the Ovid.
