The full-bodied 2015 Saint Joseph comes from vineyards around Tournon and is aged only in used demi-muids and pièces. It features cassis, plum and hoisin sauce but also lighter notes of vanilla and fresh green herbs. It's supple on the palate, steadily gaining textural richness until it's velvety on the long finish.

Aléofane is apparently a mystical place. Natacha Chave is the sister of Yann Chave. Mid crimson. Rich, spicy, peppery nose. Not the richest palate but very savoury and racy. (JR)

Cask sample. Tasted blind. Smudgy crimson. Evolved nose and a bit of rhubarb and stewed fruit on the nose. Falls away on the end. (JR)
