Note di degustazione
Primarily Clone 4 from the front part of the vineyard, including some of the replanted A2 block, Carter's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard The Grand Daddy boasts exuberant aromas of mint, dusty earth and black cherries. Add to that its ample weight and concentration and a rich, velvety texture, and it delivers great presence on the palate, culminating in a finish that's impressively lively and long.

Coming mostly from Clone 4 Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard The Grand Daddy is another dense purple-hued effort offering incredible purity in its ripe black fruits, scorched earth, liquid violet, new leather, and graphite-driven aromas and flavors. Ripe, voluptuous, flawlessly balanced, and as hedonistic as 2021 gets, this stunningly beautiful Cabernet is far from unapproachable today yet will nevertheless benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and cruise over the following two decades or more. (It will probably merit a three-digit rating at maturity.) This is insanely good!
