Note di degustazione
MV6 clone on own roots, 18-year-old vines at 196-201 m on volcanic red ferrosols. Their oldest block and east-facing. Destemmed, 5 days' cold soak, fermented with indigenous yeast, total 20 days on skins, 14 months in French oak (25% new). TA 6.9 g/l, pH 3.66. Soft bricky red. Gorgeously sweet mature red fruit. Cranberry. Mature and sweet but not overly sweet. Fresh and cool and orange-fragranced red fruit. Just beautiful with a spicy finish and great length. Mature elegance but not on the way down. With time: the spice is finely lifted, a touch of tea leaf. Gorgeous, sensual and precise at the same time. (JH)

Pale ruby colored with a hint of purple, the 2010 McCutcheon Vineyard Pinot Noir is vibrantly scented of cranberries, raspberries and dried sage with hints of lavender, black pepper and cedar. Light to medium-bodied, it has a solid backbone of lively acid and a low to medium level of very finely grained tannins supporting the red berry and herbal flavors, finishing long. Approachable now, it should drink to 2016+. Ten Minutes by Tractor does not currently have an American importer.
