Biodynamically grown. 35% Maccabeu, 30% Sauvignon Blanc 17% Grenache Blanc, 7% Marsanne on granite. Greenish gold. Rather discreet on the nose but then attractive lime notes and real grip. No reductive matchstick character but there is lots of sleek fruit and a minerally undertow. Very much better than an earlier bottle of this vintage. Long and waxy. Lots going on here! (JR)

What a shame because the raw materials are very exciting: honey, quinine, medium body, tense and bone dry on the end. Long. (JR)
I loved the 2012 IGP Cotes Catalanes from Domaine le Soula and it has fresh, incredibly focused (I’d guess this was from granite soils) style to go with terrific notes of black cherries, raspberries, iris and juniper bush. Elegant, peppery, medium-bodied and just straight up classy, it’s going to continue drinking nicely through at least 2022. It's a blend of 67% Carignan, 20% Syrah and 13% Grenache that was brought up in a combination of demi-muids, tank and foudre.
