Note di degustazione
The 2021 Grüner Veltliner Unendlich is yellow-golden in color and opens with deep and concentrated, very elegant and aromatic fruit intertwined with smoky and flinty notes and almost red fruit aromas. Round and rich yet elegant and with rather smooth yet filigree acidity and some hints of smaller oak, this is a completely different style from the crus of this domaine but nothing greater—it's just different. The finish is round and almost sweet yet also savory, saline and finely tannic. 14.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in April 2024.

The 2021 Grüner Veltliner Unendlich was picked in the Kellerberg, Liebenberg and Kollmütz sites, fermented in large barrel and transferred into 500-liter French oak demi-muids . Slight nuttiness of fine oak opens the nose and smolders with smokiness. The palate is rounded, inflected with some fine, nutty oak that wraps ripe, tart, juicy pear in smoothness and lending both emollience and precision. It is the fine acidity on this creamy body that intrigues and beguiles. This is supremely elegant, surprisingly without Grüner’s telltale pepper and herb notions, which have been subsumed into the creamy, smoky oak. This is a Grüner Veltliner quite deliberately made in a far more international style. finishing very long. (Bone-dry)
