The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Véroilles unwinds in the glass with aromas of sweet red berries, plums and mulberries mingled with hints of licorice, spices and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, it's deep, layered and concentrated, with a rich core of fruit, powdery tannins and a long, saline finish. As ever, this cuvée will require some patience.

Cask sample. High toned. Demanding. Everything is there but it certainly isn’t opulent. Very dry, chewy finish with an undertow of confident fruit. (JR)
The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Véroilles 1er Cru has the richest bouquet with traces of cassis and raspberry fruit, intermixed with violet petals. This is showy and generous. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent sweet and fleshy candied red fruit, almost like a sorbet-fresh Grenache, but it is most definitly Pinot with a beautiful silky finish.
