Note di degustazione
The 2018 Les Chalasses Vieilles Vignes is even sharper than the Grandes Teppes, with only 13% alcohol but with depth and concentration, incredible freshness and an austere palate that is akin to licking a rock, beautiful texture. This comes from Chardonnay planted in 1902 on gray marl soils. It was bottled in July 2022.

Tasted alongside the 2010 and 2013, the 2018 Côtes du Jura Les Chalasses Vieilles Vignes emerges as the standout. Aged on lees for four years and coming in at 13% alcohol, the 2018 bursts from the glass with smoky, citrus-driven aromas, accented by dried flowers and a hint of hay. Medium- to full-bodied and utterly seductive, this beautiful Jura Chardonnay is anchored by decisive acidity that imparts impeccable freshness. Quite hard to resist at this stage.
