2019 Cornas

Saturated violet color. Displays mineral- and spice-accented aromas of cherry, cassis, candied flowers and licorice, with savory herb and olive notes building in the glass. Sappy and expansive on the palate, offering bitter cherry and dark berry flavors and suggestions of smoked meat and cracked pepper. Dusty tannins come in slowly on a very long, smoky finish that leaves cherry pit and dark chocolate notes behind.
