2022 Gruner Veltliner Loibner Ried Klostersatz Federspiel

The 2022 Loibner Ried Klostersatz Grüner Veltliner is very clear and fragrant on the open-hearted nose that is reminiscent of ripe pears and yellow apples yet also some saline and flinty nuances from the gravelly Klostersatz terroir. The wine is light and buoyant on the palate, lush, stimulatingly saline and tart and even bitter on the finish that makes the 2022 Klostersatz a picture-book Veltliner for everyday and lighter dishes. The wine has charming fruit intensity yet not richness or fat. Excellent! 12.5% stated alcohol. Screw cap. Tasted in April 2024.
