2022 Lirac

From the sector around Roquemaure, the domaine has farmed this parcel since the 1970s. A blend of 70% Grenache and 10% each Carignan, Mourvèdre and Syrah, made only in tank, the 2022 Lirac by Roger Sabon is a terrific wine, bursting with black cherries and raspberries. It's medium to full-bodied, ripe and decently long, with hints of dark chocolate on the finish but without the richness of the winery's best cuvées from Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
