1991 Malvasia Reserva

VA 0.94 g/l, TA 8.34 g/l, RS 129 g/l. Mid-deep amber-brown. Grilled walnuts and woodsmoke, with candied citrus peels and brown spices – a savoury, smoky dominance to the nose. The sweet, raisin, fig and plum-pudding entry to the palate is in distinct contrast to that savouriness, and it isn’t till the spicy, slightly warming finish that the smoky, savoury tones return. (TJ)
