Punteggio 90/100 · Da bere 2022-2029, Anthony Mueller, Wine Advocate, Dec 2022

Coming from a vineyard originally planted in 1969, the 2021 Ringmuur Cinsault begins with a floral and mineral expression before a juicy and crunchy red fruit essence bursts out of the glass. Light to medium-bodied, the wine compresses on the palate with a lively energy that races across the mid-palate with focus and precision. This succulent wine concludes with a soft and lingering tannic edge that will be food-friendly for years to come and should go wonderfully with white meats, red fishes and duck breast.

Light crimson. More like a deep rosé. Prettily scented with sour red cherry and hedgerow flowers. So fragrant. That same sour-red fruit on the palate with a light grip and freshness balanced by the depth of fruit. Persistent. (JH)

The 2021 Cinsault Ringmuur, which is whole bunch pressed and raised in concrete, has an attractive bouquet morello cherry, crushed strawberry and potent floral scents: lavender and iris. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, clean and pure with a sensual, very Rhône-like garrigues -tinged finish. Lovely.
