Note di degustazione
A 60-40 blend, the 2015 Syrah Grenache seems a bit closed at the moment. It's showing dark fruits, maybe even a hint of cola, and dried spices on the nose. It's full-bodied and concentrated, but it lacks some of the richness and drama found in the 2016. It's still a delicious wine that I'd drink in a heartbeat.

40- to 80-year-old vines. 25% whole bunch, spontaneous ferment, 18 months in bigger old oak. Lightish cherry red. Smells juicy and red fruited. Gorgeous freshness and tight, fine structure with lots of tension and persistence. Effortless and undemonstrative concentration. Just a little bit of heat on the finish. (JH)
Some hints of burnt meat along with plush, opulent black fruit. Wonderful juiciness on the palate, smooth tannin, mouth-watering acidity and a long, impressive spicy finish. There is sheer pleasure to this fruit, and a warm, satisfying, balanced body. (RH)
