Note di degustazione
The 2020 Morgon Côte du Py is taut and structured this year, unwinding in the glass with notes of sweet berries, plums, loamy soil, vine smoke and spices. Medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, with fine concentration and plenty of ripe, powdery tannin, it will demand at least a year or two of patience.

Full bottle 1,301. In conversion to organic certification. Like black silk. Like midnight rain on the dark satin of peony petals and someone carving a love letter with a fountain pen in the rain on the petals. Mee Godard is the goddess of poetry in the vineyards of Morgon. She gives rocks their voices through vines through wine. This tastes of the ancient earth and ozone scent of myccorhizal networks. It tastes of intent and hidden cathedrals of understory, of the moon on nights when the cloud scars across her face are cobalt blue. (TC)
A very great Morgon! Concentrated amarena-cherry character is wrapped around a stunning tannin structure thatâs imposing, but also plush. Great brilliance at the super mineral finish that cascades over the palate, the serious yet fine tannins kicking this ever further down the road. Drinkable now, but best from 2024.
