Note di degustazione
Brilliant ruby. Smoke- and mineral-accented cherry and black raspberry scents, complicated by licorice and olive nuances. Sweet, penetrating dark berry and floral pastille flavors are enlivened by a zesty mineral element and pick up a peppery spice quality with air. Fleshes out slowly on the clinging, smoke-accented finish, which is framed by harmonious tannins that blend smoothly with the densely packed, energetic dark fruit.

The entry level Côte Rôtie, the 2013 Côte Rôtie les Becasses is a juicy, floral, violet and spring flower-scented effort that offers medium-bodied depth and richness to go with a charming, albeit short feel on the palate. It should drink nicely for 5-7 years.
(25% new oak): Bright purple. Smoky dark berry and cherry pit aromas are lifted by suggestions of fresh flowers and cracked pepper. Fleshy and broad but surprisingly energetic, offering juicy black raspberry and violet pastille flavors that become spicier with air. Finishes on a bright, juicy note, with slow-building tannins and strong persistence.
