Uses every bell and whistle in the vineyard and cellar, and it all meshes beautifully in a textbook 'modern' California Cab. To be sure, it's showy, super-rich, concentrated and fleshy, with a good lashing of new French oak. Yet the tannins are substantial and integrated, and the acidity is refreshing, boding well for cellaring. Has a touch of the famous Rutherford dust. (LM)

Sweet again – too sweet! Then dusty tannins. Lots of effort I’m sure has gone into this but it would be lovely to see a slightly more appetising result. Pretty dusty finish. Definitely dusty! (JR)
Deep ruby-red. Cassis, black cherry, licorice, smoke and menthol on the nose. Opulent on entry, then broad and fairly full in the middle, with youthfully reticent flavors of sweet dark berries and intriguing soil tones. This really spreads out on the back end, finishing with a fine, broad dusting of tannins and mouthcoating persistence. Not yet especially nuanced but has the balance to evolve well.
Chocolate, cassis, licorice, cedar, and soil undertones dominate the fragrant aromatics of the dense purple-colored 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate.
