Sporting 90 grams of residual sugar per liter, the 2001 Riesling Schlossberg Vendanges Tardives reveals sweetened, creamed tea and smoky botrytis aromas. Medium-bodied, plush, and broad, it is rich, thick, as well as unctuous. Figs, apples, spices, and honeyed minerals can be found in its flavor profile. Drink it between 2006 and 2014. Superconcentrated and rich but with racy acids giving the fruit brilliant definition. This boasts the ineffably pure botrytis of the 2001 vintage at its best. Long, piercing finishing flavors go on and on.
