Note di degustazione
The 2015 Vaucluse Heloise is darker hued compared to the Abelard and is a more Syrah-dominated blend of 78% Syrah, 18% Grenache, and 4% Roussanne that, like the Abelard, spent 18 months in barrel. Its ruby/plum hue is followed by a gorgeous nose of red and black fruits, smoked meat, bay leaf, herbes de Provence, camphor, and sandalwood-like nuances. I love its complexity, it's medium to full-bodied, and it has a seamless mouthfeel and ultra-fine tannins. It's another remarkable wine from this brilliant team that I wish every reader could taste. It's drinking perfectly today yet will evolve nicely over the coming decade.

Tasted from tank prior to bottling, the 2015 IGP Vaucluse Heloise is silky, rich and long. Full-bodied yet elegant, with layers of cherry fruit that turn crisp and cranberry-like on the long finish, it looks to be another top vintage for this cuvée.
