2021 Riesling Idig Grosses Gewachs

Christmann's 2021 Riesling Idig VDP.Grosse Lage shows a clear, bright and at the same time dark chalky nose with dense, aromatic and elegant bright fruit with fine soil spice. Enormously piquant and firm on the still restrained palate, very young and precise, pleasantly green, with a fine bite and plenty of tension, this is a medium-bodied Idig that opens up slowly and should be drunk with food. Promising. Tasted at the Rebholz Kastanienbusch/Christmann Idig/Wittmann Morstein vertical tasting in Westhofen in late August 2024.
