Made with 70% whole-bunch, Jouan’s 2021 Clos Saint-Denis is impressive. The Grand Cru has bite, with fine but chewy tannic structure that complements the crunchy red fruit – redcurrant and raspberry. It’s mouth-watering, with darker, spicier tones emerging with air. Iodine, savoury tones and a liquorice sweetness fil the long finish.
