Saturated medium ruby. Aromatic, high-pitched nose combines cassis, crushed blackberry, mocha, iron, leather, exotic spices and pencil lead, all lifted by pepper and eucalyptus notes. Sweet, fat and lush, with tangy flavors of black fruits and minerals. This boasts a solid middle and a lot of personality for a 2000. Finishes ripely tannic and long.
