RS 6.6 g/l. Citrus peel, ginger, jasmine, lemon juice – diverse and well-defined flavours with lots of personality. No noticeable sweetness on the finish, but plenty of persistence. Fleshy and complex. (RH)

Relatively muted nose in terms of fruit, although there is honeyed richness in the background. Full and generous on the palate with excellent floral fragrance, snappy lime fruit and sharp acidity that is well balanced by fine-grained texture. (RH)
The Wintzenheim 2020 Riesling Clos Häuserer is from a warm setting below the grand cru Hengst with marly soils topping the limestone rock. Very intense but pure and iodine-like on the nose, this is a full-bodied, silky-textured, very elegant, saline and finely tannic Riesling with lots of power, richness and a dense texture. With moderate 13.2% alcohol, this is a fresh but somewhat narrow and caged Riesling with some astringency on the finish. It was bottled with 6.6 grams per liter of residual sugar and a natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in April 2022.
