pH 4.03, TA 2.5 g/l. 4% Cinsault, 2% Clairette, 70% Grenache, 16% Mourvèdre, 8% Syrah. Destemmed. Vinified in cement tank. Aged for 18 months in cement. Tasted blind. Dark crimson. Sweet, dense nose. Some rather unusual (for Châteauneuf) minerally character to this. Appetising tannins. Sinews and floral-sweet flavours. Interesting wine. Muscular. Sappy. (JR)
