The 2015 Saumur Rouge La Charpentrie is leathery and reductive but also deep, pure, fresh and concentrated on the nose, and it shows leafy as well as dark cherry aromas. Concentrated, dense and silky on the palate, this is a fresh and crunchy Cabernet with a long, complex and salty-juicy finish that reveals fine tannins and excellent aging potential, even though the wine is still young.
